LISTENING TO A CD (depending on equipment)

Listening to a CD

When a CD is inserted (printed face
up), the audio system automatically
switches to CD and starts to read
track 1.
To listen to a CD already inserted in the
player, press 7 or 12 to select the "CD"
source.
Note: some protected files (copyright)
cannot be read.
Searching for a track
Press briefly on 2 (<< or >>) or rotate 13
to skip forwards or backwards between
tracks on the CD.
Fast winding
Press and hold 2 (<< or >>) to fast for-
ward or rewind.
Playback resumes when the button is
released.

Random playback

Press and hold button 10 to activate
random playback (a beep sounds).
Repeat this to deactivate the function.
Ejecting the disc at any time deacti-
vates the RANDOM function.
Pause
Press 17 or simultaneously on 14/15 to
interrupt play of the current CD.
The display reads "PAUSE".
Press the button again or adjust the
volume to start playing again.

Ejecting a CD
Press 3 to eject the CD.
The audio system will automatically
return to the radio.
If the CD is not removed after 10 sec-
onds, the CD is reinserted into the
player.
CD maintenance
To protect CD readability, never expose
a CD to heat or direct sunlight.
To clean a CD, rub the CD from the
centre outwards using a soft cloth.
As a general rule, refer to the CD man-
ufacturer's advice concerning mainte-
nance and storage.
Note: the system may not be able to
read scratched or dirty CDs.
