2.6
Incorrect or improper use
The machine is designed for use exclusively for the purposes and in
the areas described in the relevant section of the manual. Use other
than those described in this manual is considered incorrect or
improper and therefore not in conformity with safety regulations.
IMPORTANT: Incorrect or improper use of the
machine could cause personal injury, death and/or
damage to the machine or equipment.
Examples of possible incorrect or improper use which could cause
personal injury or damage to the machine and other equipment are
given below:
Unauthorised modification or replacement of parts of
the machine;
Failure to observe the safety instructions;
Failure to observe the installation, use, operation,
maintenance and repair instructions or performance
of these operations by unqualified personnel;
Use on unsuitable and incompatible surfaces.

Operation and technical specification
3.1
Operating the machine
The MOTORISED SWEEPER is a professional appliance designed to
sweep and clean dry industrial floors or asphalted surfaces
(warehouses, outdoor and multi-storey car parks, laboratories in general,
service stations, sports centres, camp sites and holiday villages, hotels,
supermarkets, workshops) to remove solid material only, such as dust,
soil, paper or similar by means of a brush outside the frame of the
appliance. The machine moves the debris to the side to be picked up by
other means. The machine consists of the following elements:
Welded folded steel chassis;
Brush;
Brush rotation motor;
Operator handlebar with controls.
The MOTORISED SWEEPER is represented in the following figure.
In the manual, the sides of the machine will be referred to from the
point of view of the operator holding the handlebar with controls.
3.2
Conditions of use
The MOTORISED SWEEPER has been designed to perform the
functions described in the section of this manual only. The machine
must be used in environments conforming to those described in
section on admissible environmental values.

The weights and sizes of the MOTORISED SWEEPER are given in
the following tables.

3.3.2
The machine is powered by a 12 V battery. The electric motor turns
the brush.
The work parameters provide the information necessary to choose
the most suitable machine for the specific needs.
*: on request, brushes made from different materials can be fitted for
particular applications: contact the Manufacturer or dealer.
In normal working conditions, there are no residual risks.
There are, however, residual risks always present during normal
working conditions exclusively in danger zones where access is
prevented by means of fixed guards. These guards must under no
circumstances be removed while the machine is in operation.
Guards on transmission components may be temporarily removed in
order to carry out adjustments or routine or extraordinary
maintenance (for extraordinary maintenance, always contact a
professional service centre). The residual risks arising under these
conditions may be eliminated by adopting certain procedures. When
using the machine, the operator must hold the handlebar within
reach of all operating controls and with an adequate view of the path
of the machine in order to avoid impact with obstacles (danger of
tipping over) and people (injury to persons).
Lp dB(A) 89 (uncertainly 1,5) - Lw dB(A) 96
Reference Standard EN60335-2-79
The vibrations produced are minimal and do not represent a source
of danger for the operator. The levels have, however, been
determined in accordance with ISO 5349.
No particular procedures must be adopted in order to
safeguard the operator from the effects of the vibrations
produced. In the event of abnormal vibrations, the operator
should immediately stop the machine and contact maintenance
personnel.
