Instructions

2.1 — General
DANGER
Electrocution. High voltage is present at transfer
switch and terminals. Contact with live terminals
will result in death or serious injury.
DANGER
Automatic start-up. Disconnect utility power and render
unit inoperable before working on unit. Failure to do so
will result in death or serious injury.
Ensure that site power is de-energized and that the
generator is properly disabled before performing any of
these installation steps. Follow all Safety and Warnings in
Installation Manual.
NOTE: Some wires have been removed from illustra-
tions for clarity.
2.2 — Generator/Switch Wiring
NOTE: Refer to the Interconnection Drawing, Section
2.3 for reference.
Remove the generator controller fascia and locate

the circuit breaker in the external connection box.
The wires feeding into the back of the circuit
breaker will be marked to indicate Active (Brown)
and Neutral (Blue). See Figure 2-1.

Remove the two cap plugs located behind the

breaker door and to the right of the main breaker.
Loosen the lugs of the main breaker through the
access holes (Figure 2-2).

Connect the Neutral (Blue) to the side of the

breaker opposite that of the marked Blue (Wire 11)
and connect the Active (Brown) to the side of the
breaker opposite that of the marked Brown wire
(Wire 44).
Torque the breaker lugs to 3.5 N-m (31 in-lb) maxi-

mum.
Install the breaker cover guard.

Install the generator controller fascia (Figure 2-3).

Insert cap plugs in open holes over breaker lugs.
