when installing hitch
1.
Remove taillight covers- Open tailgate. Using flathead screwdriver, remove (1) push rivet from trim piece near driver taillight. Using plastic trim tools, gently pull trim piece off and set aside
for later use, see Figure 4. Repeat steps on passenger side.

Remove rear bumper fascia - a.) Using a T15 star driver, remove (4) screws from bottom center fascia. Set fasteners aside to be reinstalled.
b.) Using a T20 star driver, remove (2) screws from top fascia area near trunk weatherstrip.
c.) On driver side, using a T15 star driver remove (3) screws from rear side of wheel well trim. Repeat for passenger side. Set fasteners aside to be reinstalled.
d.) NOTE: Disconnect light on wheel well trim prior to partially removing, both sides. Using a plastic trim tool, partially remove the fascia by gently pulling rearward while releasing the
clips of the wheel well trim. Only remove as far as shown in Figure 2.
e.) Using a 7mm socket, pulling back the wheel well trim, remove (1) screw from both sides. See Figure 2
f.) Carefully disconnect all wiring harnesses from fascia and safely set fascia aside.

Remove bumper beam – Using a 15mm socket with extension, remove (4) M10 bolts and (4) M10 flange nuts. Gently lower exhaust hanger bracket before fully removing bumper beam.
Return bumper beam to owner and set bolts and nuts aside for later use. See Figure 1.

Install Hitch - Raise hitch and bumper beam into position and align holes with studs in end panel. See Figure 1. Raise the exhaust hanger bracket back into position, and loosely reinstall
the (4) existing M10 bolts and (4) M10 flange nuts into end panel. Tighten all M10-1.50 fasteners with torque wrench to 53 Lb.-Ft. (72 N*M)
Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
5.
Trim fascia –Locate the center of the fascia. Using a tape measure, marker, and utility knife, cut a notch in the bottom of fascia approximately 4.25'' wide by 3.5" tall.
See Figure 3. Note: Be sure area is clear of all electrical wiring before trimming.

Reinstall fascia – Reconnect all wiring first. Then reinstall the fascia, wheel well trim light and taillight covers using original hardware removed in steps 1 and 2.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should
be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
