Preparation of the fastener driving tool

Using the fastener driving tool with a weight compensator

You can use fastener driving tools 5F-CNW65, 7F-CNW90, 8XR-CNW90
and 9F-CNW100EPAL with a weight compensator. To be able to mount
the cable of the weight compensator on the fastener driving tool, screw
a suspension eye into the thread on the housing head. The suspension
eye (item number ET 99300122) is available from PREBENA.

To mount the eye (1) on the housing head, remove the rubber plug
(2) from the thread.

Screw the eye (1) clockwise into the thread as far as it will go.

Checking the function

To ensure the fastener driving tool is functioning properly,
follow these steps:
PLEASE NOTE

Follow the hazard warnings in the "Safety" section starting on page 6.

Set the tip of the fastener driving tool on a piece of wood at least
ten centimeters thick.

Trigger the fastener driving tool (see section on driving in coil nails
on page 31).

Check the following properties:

Triggering only occurs when the triggering safety device
is pressed in.

One nail must be driven into the piece of wood every time
the fastener driving tool is triggered.

Do not allow the exhaust air to blow in your face.

To obtain the desired insertion depth, change the operating pressure
of the compressor as necessary or change the setting on the setting
wheel (see page 28).

Repeat these steps if necessary.
The fastener driving tool is now ready for use.
