5.1
Using the shear
•
Put on the backpack (4) (picture F) and adjust the length of the belt by means of the specific buckle (3).
•
The backpack (4) must be positioned so that 90% of the weight is supported at the operator's waist
and not on his back (picture F).
•
The braces (28) should be used to better balance the weight.
•
Adjust the buckle of the braces (2) so they cannot slip off your shoulders
•
Put on the armband (26) so that the cord (12) does not get in the way of cutting operations of the shear.
•
Press the button (picture D) (11) with your free hand.
•
Remove the shear from the holster (5) and grip it.
•
Push the button of the selector (22) in sequence with your free hand, until you reach the desired mode.
SAFE status:

The shear is not active: the blade does not move even pressing the trigger.
SAFE mode is entered when the shear is switched on and when no cuts are made for over 5 minutes.

Exit SAFE mode by quickly pressing and releasing the trigger three times.

The status is indicated on the display and by the slowly flashing let light on the handgrip.

All the menus can be accessed and used.
STOP status:

The shear is not active: the blade does not move even pressing the trigger.
STOP mode is entered by keeping the trigger pressed for over 5 seconds.

Exit STOP mode by quickly pressing and releasing the trigger three times.

The status is indicated on the display and by the slowly flashing let light on the handgrip.

All the menus can be accessed and used.
ALARM status:
-
The shear is not active: the blade does not move even pressing the trigger.

You enter ALARM mode when alarms are triggered.

You exit ALARM mode when the cause of the alarms has been eliminated.

The status is indicated on the display showing each alarm by means of the letter E followed by a number, as well as
by the quickly flashing led light on the handgrip.

All the menus can be accessed and used.
ERROR status:
-
The shear is not active: the blade does not move even pressing the trigger.

You enter ERROR mode when faults occur.

It is NOT possible to exit ERROR mode. You must switch the shear off and back on and check whether the cause of
the error has been eliminated.

The status is indicated on the Display by encoding each alarm with the letter E followed by a number and by the LED
on the grip which blinks slowly.

The menus cannot be accessed or used.
OPERATIONAL status:
-
The shear is active: the blade does moves when the trigger is pressed.

The status is indicated by the LED (16) on the grip which is on steady. The functions or selected menus appear on the
display.

All the menus can be accessed and used.
Switch on:
When the display is switched on, the Firmware version and type of shear connected are displayed in sequence and it
goes to SAFE mode waiting for the operator to start work.
Main menu:
The operating mode of the shear can be selected in the main menu, choosing among four options.
The options can be scrolled by quickly pressing the selector key. When the shear switches on, it is set at the last function
selected.
