BATTERY: Make sure the battery is
inserted correctly on the engine. Press
the start button ("t", fig. 1.9) until the
complete ignition of the machine.
CAUTION!
Do not hold the button ("t", fig. 1.9)
after starting the machine. Do not
press the button when the machine
has started/working.
CAUTION!
When after repeated starts without
charging the battery, you will feel
difficult to start the engine: we
recommend you not to insist with re-
starting, but to recharge the battery.
If you are going on trying to re-start
the battery when it is discharged or
semi-discharged this action could
affect its life.

9. STORAGE
When the machine is not going to be used
for long periods of time, it is essential to
protect the tool with anti-corrosion and
antioxidant substances.
Clean the machine of leaves and/or dirt
before storage.
DANGER!
Remove the fuel from the tank and close
the tap (if present).
Park the machine fitted with the accessory
on flat ground, removing the ignition key (if
present) and/or spark plug cap.
DANGER!
Protect the sharp parts and cover the
machine with protective sheets if neces-
sary.

When the motor cultivator is
stored without equipment (like rotava-
tor, grassland mower, cutting bar, etc..) it
should be positioned as shown in the pic-
ture. Please put under the engine the poly-
styrene you can find into the packaging or
any other support showing a vertical side
at least 14 cm height. The a.m. operation
avoids the oil to draw into the combus-

tion chamber. Please be very careful also
when putting new oil into the engine and
to the equipment assembly/disassembly.
10. PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
DANGER!
Before proceeding, read and understand
the chapter "SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS"
in its entirety.
Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tightened
to ensure safe operation of the machine
and/or interchangeable equipment in safe
conditions.
10.1 CABLE ADJUSTMENT
4 . 3
4 . 3
Warning - wheels should start
rotating only when control lever is beyond
half travel. When lever is pulled to full ex-
tent (working position), the belt-stretcher
load spring should extend by 6 to 8 mm
approx. For above described conditions
to be reached, action is to be taken on
adjuster set close to the belt stretcher
control assembly.

HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT:
The height of the cultivator handlebar can
be adjusted. Before starting any work it is a
good standard operating procedure to ad-
just the handlebar to the operator's require-
ments so that the machine could be easily
handled. Loosen the handles, adjust the
handlebar according to the needed height
and tightly screw the handles up.
4 . 4b
4 . 4b
LATERAL ADJUSTMENT:
Lateral handlebar adjustment keeps the
operator from stepping on ground that has
already been hoed and from damaging
vegetation. Considering the central posi-
tion (2, 5), the handlebar support can be
further reclined for one position to the left
and right side in the following way:
1. unscrew the unblocking rod until the
handlebar support is not raising from the
teeth shown on the machine;
2. orientate the handlebar support to the
desired job position and reinsert it into the
teeth part.
3. tighten the unblocking lever in order to
tighten the whole again.
CAUTION!
The handlebar support can be screwed
up only in the 3 pre-established positions:
NO intermediate positions are allowed!
4 . 4 c
4 . 4 c
JOB POSITION ADJUSTMENT
Orientate the handlebar with the handlebar
support into the needed job position
according to the tool you are going to use.
