SATA LAB Automatic Gun Operating Instructions
The material flow is adjusted as follows:
■ Screw in the material flow control as far as it will go.
■ Adjust the scale ring to zero and fix with the fixing screw. Adjust the scale ring
left-aligned with the smallest scale mark at the gun body and turn so that the
scale mark with the large number 0 coincides with the upper edge of the scale
on the gun body. [18-1].
■ Example for adjustment 1-3-2:
■ 1 = number of full turns of the regulating cap in opening direction.
■ The turns can be read off the scale on the gun body. Every scale mark stands for
one turn.
■ 3 = Large numbers (0-3) on the scale ring.
■ Scale mark of the large numbers must coincide with the upper edge of the scale
on the gun body [18-2].
■ 2 = Small numbers (0-3) on the scale ring for fine adjustment.
■ Scale mark of the small numbers must coincide with the upper edge of the scale
on the gun body [18-3].
Adjust spray fan pattern
Note!
A spray pattern with test report is enclosed with the spray gun as ref-
erence for adjusting the spray fan. The round fan control is fixed to the
ideal value with a lock washer cannot be adjusted.
The scale washer [1-5] helps to adjust the flat fan control. The index ring
of the flat fan control can be fixed in the required position.
■ Adjust the flat fan by regulating the flat fan control (B) [1-6].
Painting
Note!
When painting, only use as much material as is required for the specific
procedure.
When painting, maintain the necessary spray distance (see chapter 4).
After painting, store or dispose of the material correctly.
■ Adjust the necessary spray distance (see chapter 4).
■ Ensure there is sufficient spraying air feed and material supply.
■ Use the control air to trigger the control pulse for painting.
