To perform this operation, simple loosen the vice lock lever positioned on the machine base (H Fig 34) and rotate
the head to the angle required (Fig 35 & 36); finally tighten lock lever (H).
DANGER!
This operation must be performed with the machine off and voltage disconnected.
The lock lever must be tightened securely to avoid any movement of the head during cutting.

Fig 41
Use the handwheel (F) to bring the jaws to approx. 2mm from the piece to be cut, and then clamp the piece by means of
the quick lock lever. (E)
WARNING!
Before executing the cut, ensure that the workpiece is firmly secured in the vise to prevent it from moving
during the cutting operation.
WARNING!
Do not position the pieces to be cut on the vise unit while a workpiece is already inserted in the vice.
6.8 ADJUSTING THE BAND TENSION
DANGER!
The operation must be carried out with the machine head in the stand-by position and the band saw
stopped.
Cut off the power supply to the machine.
Blade tension is important to the proper operation of the saw. Proper blade tension is 700 to 900lbs.j per square
inch as measured on a blade tension gauge.
Turn the handwheel (B Fig 1) one and three quarter to two revolutions clockwise. This equals approximately
800kbs of blade tension.
6.9 REPLACING THE SAW BLADE
WARNING!
This operation must be carried out when the machine bow is in stand-by position and the saw blade is at a
standstill.
