- Lift the bow completely;
- Unhook and lift off the flywheel safety guard (136A);
- Secure the open guard by means of the special hook, to make sure it does not close during the operation;
- Loosen the band by means of the handwheel (B);
- Remove the worn band from the flywheels (142 & 130) and extract it from the blade guides;
- Fit in the new band on the blade guides and subsequently on the flywheels.
WARNING!
Ensure the blade teeth rotate in the correct direction (see the arrow on the flywheel safety guard)
- Tighten the band by means of the special handwheel (B Fig 28);
- Close the flywheel safety guard and secure it with the special clamps (135 Fig 27).
WARNING!
If the flywheel safety guard is not properly closed the machine does not work because of the safety
microswitch.
DANGER!
The following operations must be carried out when the machine bow in the stand-by position and the band
saw stopped.
Cut off the power supply to the machine.
6.10 ADJUSTING THE BOW RETURN STROKE
It is possible to adjust the bow return stroke (this is a useful operation if several repeated cuts are needed), in this
way the complete return stroke for each single cut be avoided.
