INSTALLER CONNECTIONS
SA6 Reduced electricity rate contact
Forced refilling of the reserve storage tanks can be activat-
ed based on different electricity rates during the day.
During reduced rate periods, the heat pump can be forced
on so as to heat the domestic hot water, where fitted.
Contact closed: forced operation during the reduced rate
period.
Contact open: heat pump operation disabled.
Description
Enable contact as:
0 = Reduced electricity rate
1 = Boiler backup
Enable the set point as:
0= Economy
1= Comfort
Set the value of the domestic hot
water ECONOMY set point

water COMFORT set point
SA1-SA2-SA5-SA6 Contact configurable as boiler
backup
If the boiler shuts down, the heat pump is activated in its
place, momentarily overriding the operating logic (supple-
mentary/replacement) so as to ensure heating is provided in
the building.
Boiler shutdown is signalled to the heat pump via the alarm
contact.
When the boiler contact is closed due to an active alarm, the
heat pump is started (compressor ON), even if its configura-
tion would otherwise keep the unit in standby.
The heat pump will provide heating in the building within the
operating limits described in the chapter on "Operating limits".
Contacts SA1, SA2, SA5 and SA6 can be configured as "boil-
er backup" by modifying the following parameters according-
ly:
Contact SA1 configured as "boiler backup"
Description
Enable contact as:
0 = Remote ON/OFF
1 = Boiler backup
Contact SA2 configured as "boiler backup"
Description
Enable contact as:
0 = Remote cooling/heating
1 = Boiler backup
Contact SA5 configured as "boiler backup"
Description
Enable contact as:
0 = Reduced electricity rate
1 = Stop operation due to
excess power consumption
2 = Boiler backup
The boiler backup function must be configured for only
one of the configurable contacts listed.

During operation at reduced electricity rate, contact closed,
-
the domestic hot water set point is 50°C, as shown in the
example, with the contact open it's 47°C.
°C
This allows operation at a higher temperature, within the
unit's operating limits, exploiting the lower electricity cost.
