Active brake
1.
To apply the brake, pull the brake lever forwards beside or
between your knees as far as possible.
2. To release the brake, push the brake lever backwards beside
or between your knees.
Hub brake (optional)
The hub brake is operated via the brake ring located on the
outside of each wheel's hub.

To activate the hub brake, turn the brake ring A in direction 1
until it stops.
2. To release the hub brake, turn the brake ring in direction 2
until it stops.
WARNING!
Risk of overturning if you brake sharply
If you apply the hub brakes while you are
moving, the direction of movement can become
uncontrollable and the wheelchair may stop
suddenly, which can lead to a collision or to you
falling out.
– Never apply the hub brake while you are moving.
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to overturning wheelchair
When driving backwards, the wheelchair could
overturn due to a snapping in hub brake pin that
locks the wheel.
– Contact your specialized dealer immediately, as
soon as you hear a rattling noise caused by the
hub brake when driving in your wheelchair.
– Avoid driving backwards when you hear such
noise until the hub brake is repaired or replaced.
3.3 Backrest
