MAINTENANCE
CAUTION
The "Spare parts" handbook does not authori-
se users to carry out work on the machine with
the exception of those operations expressly
described in the user manual. It only enables
users to provide the technical assistance
service with precise information in order to
minimise delays.
WARNING
The manufacturer declines all liability for
claims deriving from the use of non-original
spare parts or accessories.
CAUTION
Any operation intended to modify the setting
value of the relief valves or pressure limiter
is forbidden.
The manufacturer declines all liability for
damage resulting from tampering with these
valves.
WARNING
Before adjusting or servicing the machine,
disconnect the electricity and compressed
air supplies and make sure that all moving
parts are suitably immobilised.
CAUTION
Do not remove or modify any parts of this
equipment except in the case of service
operations.
DANGER
When the machine is disconnected from the
air supply system, the devices marked with
the warning sign shown above may remain
pressurised.
The filter-regulator, plus lubricator unit (FRL)
filters the air, regulates its pressure and lu-
bricates it.
The "FRL" unit withstands a maximum inlet
pressure of 18 bar and has an adjustment
range of 0.5 to 10 bar; this setting can be

adjusted by pulling the knob up and out and
then turning it; once adjusted, lock the knob
again by pushing it back down (fig.35a).
The lubricant flow rate is adjusted by turning
the screw on the "L" element (fig.35b); the
unit is normally pre-calibrated at a pressure
of 10 bar, with lubricant having a viscosity of
SAE20, so that one drop of lubricant, which
can be seen through the cover, is released
every 4 bead breaker cycles.
DANGER
Before starting any maintenance jobs or
topping-up with lubricant, disconnect the
machine from the pneumatic power supply.
On a periodic basis, check the level of lubricant
through the inspection points and top-up, as
per fig.35c.
Only top-up with non-detergent oil type SAE20
equal to 50cc.
The filter-regulator unit "FR" has an automatic
condensate drainage system; therefore in
normal conditions of use it does not require
any particular maintenance. Condensate can
however be drained manually at any time
(fig.35d) even if the machine is connected to
the pneumatic supply. The condensate water
will be drained each time the pneumatic supply
is cut-off whatever the case.
The cups do not normally need to be disman-
tled. For maintenance jobs following long
periods of use, you may evaluate whether
they need to be dismantled. If you cannot
remove them with just your hands alone, use
the special spanner supplied (fig.35e).
Clean with a dry cloth. Avoid contact with
solvents.
CAUTION
Keep the working area clean.
Never use compressed air, jets of water or
solvent to remove dirt or deposits off the
machine.
When cleaning, take care not to create and
raise dust as far as possible.
