Device used to draw and collect autologous bone
in regenerative surgical applications
• Before use ensure that the packaging
is intact.
• The device must exclusively be used
by qualified medical staff.
• Always use sterile gloves when
handling the device, taking care not to
cut them with the sharp edges of the
blade.
• Discard after use in special containers
for medical waste in conformity with
the decrees in force.
• META is not liable for the incorrect use
of the product.
Open the package on the side with the symbol
"
". Lay the instrument on the sterile field
always handling it in maximum sterile
conditions.
The device must be gripped with the transparent
tank always facing the bone and in such a
way as to guarantee accurate movements
during use (see figures 1).
The bone is collected by pushing the end of
the device towards the bone surface and
simultaneously pulling the device itself
backward. (see figures 1). The bone can also
be collected with slanting and sideways
movements.
By varying the angle of the instrument and
the pressure exercised, the desired
consistency of the bone lamellae or plates
can be obtained.
When held straight, the Safescraper
may contain up to 3 cc. of bone, whereas the

curve tank main contain up to
Safescraper
2.5 cc.
To collect the bone, keep the transparent tank
facing downward, press the lock button
sideways and slide the tank clockwise (see
figure 3-4).
To continue the bone collection procedure or
before disposing of the Safescraper
tank back in its original position and keep the
button pressed laterally to trigger the tank lock
position (see figure 5).
To transfer the bone lamellae or plates to the
receiving site, any type of forceps or spoon can
be used (see figure 6).
Suggestions:
In the event of bad cutting quality, change the
angle of the instrument and the pressure
exercised on the bone.
If no improvement is obtained, the blade might
be worn and the device must therefore be
replaced.
• The device may be used once only.
It is absolutely impossible to clean
and/or resterilize it after use.
• Caution: if used with another patient
may lose performance and functional

contamination
Warnings:
The surgeon must establish whether the patient
is suited to bone graft.
The surgeon must adopt all the necessary
precautions to prevent the risks of infections and
complications associated with bone graft
procedures.
