REVOBLOCK motorised joint
use and maintenance manual
6.6 - LUBRICATION
The product is designed to work properly lubricated with grease.
Abundantly grease during run-in (described in par. 4.3) and in the first 100/200 hours of operation.
Abundantly grease after a prolonged stop (>2 weeks) and in case of removal of the grease (e.g. after
cleaning with pulivapor).
Make sure the joint never works without sufficient amount of lubricant.
Three areas of the Machine must be lubricated: the worm screw-gear coupling, the bearings and the internal
rollers.
6.6.1 - GEAR-WORM SCREW COUPLING LUBRICATION
Lubrication is very important to prolong the life of the product: lubrication of the worm screw/gear coupling
is especially critical. Frequency of lubrication in this area of the machine depends on the load and work
conditions: the following table gives an indication of the frequency of lubrication.
Low load (up to 50% of Mtmax or Mfmax)
Low number of uses (<80 uses per day)
High number of uses (from 80 to 200 uses per day) or medium
load (from 50% to 80% of Mtmax or Mfmax)
High load (>80% of Mtmax or Mfmax)
Very high load (with peaks over Mtmax or Mfmax), presence of
vibrations or high number of uses (>200 uses per day)
Grease the worm screw-gear couple by using one of the nipples in figure 1.

For it to be efficient, the grease must easily reach the point of contact: use grease point 1 with coupling with
horizontal axis and 2 with coupling with vertical axis. However, check the grease falls by gravity.
Should it not be possible to use any of these greasing points, use that on the screw (point 3 in figure 2).
Attention: this point is covered by a side guard and turns together with the screw: it is not suitable for an
automatic lubrication system.
