Once the die and the header die support are in place, finish tightening with the special
key supplied. Check that the tips are securely in place after each riveting procedure. Loosening is
dangerous and can damage the riveter.
50 KN ADAPTOR
WHEN USING A 50 kN adaptor (ref. 064867), connect the adaptor's jack
plug into the socket provided on the handle of the riveting device.
The indicator light located on the side of the 50 kN adaptor follows the
same operating procedure as the indicator light located on the riveter (see
'Riveter indicator light' section).
RIVET BOX PROVIDED
The riveter is supplied with a box of 300 self-piercing steel rivets (RAP).
These trial rivets are provided for testing the riveter and should not be used
for automotive repairs under any circumstances.
SETTING UP SELF-PIERCING RIVETS

When installing self-piercing rivets, check that the rivets are properly fitted. The dies must not be damaged as this could
make riveting a problem.
During each riveting procedure, it is imperative to ensure that the die, and not the rivet itself, is placed on the sheets
to be assembled. It is also important to ensure that the header die support is positioned on the sheets so as to form a
90° angle.
