ATTENTION! When positioning the models with a vertical electrical panel, make sure that the
electrical connection cables are not pulled.
The electric cables are designed to allow the panel to move no more than 100mm from the frame.
N.B. All these operations must only be performed by specialist technical personnel.
Refer to the regulations in force in the countries where the refrigeration unit is installed.
12. Electrical connection
The electrical connections must be made according to the diagrams supplied with the refrigeration
unit.
Any modifications to these must be authorised by the manufacturer.
The system must be protected upstream by means of an automatic omnipolar magneto-thermal circuit
breaker with suitable characteristics and which will also act as a general line disconnecting switch.
Instruct the operator on the position of the switch so that it can be reached promptly in the event of an emergency.
The electrical system must be earthed by means of the clamp located on the side of the disconnector and
indicated with
PE
:
First of all, check that the supply voltage is as indicated on the plate (Fig. 1)
Check that the power line has the appropriate section cables recommended by the manufacturer and is protected against
overcurrents and earth leakage in compliance with the current regulations.
For power lines longer than 4 – 5 m, increase the cable section appropriately.
The installer must provide the anchoring devices for all the cables entering and leaving the refrigeration unit.
Respect the colour of the wires and the order of the phases.
The automatic thermomagnetic circuit breaker must be such that it does not open the circuit on the neutral circuit
without opening it at the same time on the phases and in any case the opening distance of the contacts must be at
least 3 mm. Pay attention to the differential intervention value to guarantee selectivity.
N.B. All these operations must only be performed by specialist technical personnel.
13. Refrigeration system connection (Fig. 5)
The refrigeration unit is supplied with a nitrogen pre-charge: before carrying out the refrigerant connections, it is advisable to
drain the unit, through the high and low pressure outlets.
The refrigeration unit is supplied with weldable pipes positioned:
For the CO
liquid and intake line, in the lower part of the compressor compartment frame;
2
For the discharge line towards the gas-cooler/condenser, in the upper part of the compressor compartment.
After positioning the refrigeration unit, prepare the connections of the circuits to the machine using pipes suitable for the
connected refrigerating powers.
Carry out the welding and/or brazing of the pipes with the utmost care;
Before filling the circuit with the refrigerant, thoroughly clean the internal parts and perform pressure testing of the
lines;
Exclude the refrigeration unit from the part subjected to testing by means of the shut-off valves;
Each refrigeration unit is tested before delivery.
N.B. All these operations must only be performed by specialist technical personnel.
14. Start-up and adjustment
Vacuuming the system
ATTENTION! Do not carry out vacuuming with the refrigeration compressors.
It is mandatory to use a "High Vacuum" pump and a vacuum gauge.
Connect the "High vacuum" pump on the high pressure side and on the low pressure side in all the refrigeration systems.
Check that the mechanical parts (e.g. valves) and electrical parts (e.g. solenoid valves) are completely open and that the
air flow is not obstructed in any way in the refrigeration unit.
When the vacuum gauge indicates a pressure of 1 mbar, stop the vacuum pump.
Check for at least 12 hours that the pressure does not rise above 2mbar.
At this point the system can be considered as being in perfect condition.
