8. Maintenance of Air Cleaner:
A dirty air cleaner might cause obstruction in the air passage and result in bad working of the generator. In
order to avoid this undesirable effect, it is recommended to follow the maintenance instructions for cleaning
the air cleaner.
ATTENTION:
fire or explosion. Just use water with soap or a non flammable solvent.

Cleaning Procedures:

A. Release the clamps and remove the filter lid and then remove the filtering element. Figure 9.2.
B. Wash the filtering element with a solution of water and neutral soap and then rinse it. Let the filter dry.
C. Wet the filter with engine oil and squeeze it to remove the excess of oil. In case the filter is assembled with
too much oil, the engine might release some white smoke in the first minutes of working, which is normal.
D. Reinstall the filtering element and the lid of the filter box.

9. Cleaning of the Fuel Valve Shell:
The valve shell prevents that any water that is inside the fuel tank goes to the carburetor. If the engine is not
used for a long period of time, it is recommended that the shell be cleaned.
A. Close the valve putting the lever in the OFF position and remove the sedimentation cup and the O'ring;;
B. Clean the cup and the O´ring with gasoline or a non flammable solvent;
C. Reinstall the cup and the sealing O´ring. Figure 9.4.
D. Open the valve placing the lever in the ON position.
Do not use gasoline or any flammable solvent to clean the air cleaner as it can cause
