TIPS
- Do NOT disconnect ANY electric wire, when the engine is running. This is bad practice when using
high-tech electronic systems, such as the 123ignition.
- Keep moist and dirt away from the 123ignition.
- It has been reported, that the well known, red plastic, solid-core bougie-cords do not work properly
in combination with a 123ignition, whilst the engine DID run properly with points. This effect is
explained by the fact that these cables, when they are worn, cannot handle the higher tension,
caused by the 123ignition.
- Carbon-core silicone bougie-cords are the better choice!
- Mistrust old coils : they all look O.K., but may have been overheated many times!
