accidents caused by a sudden drop of the backrest). Release the handgrips(A). Tighten the screw at the bottom of the
racks.
Raising the backrest; Proceed in the same way as for reclining the back rest.
Warning: Be careful not to catch your fingers when folding down or raising the backrest.
Warning: After the third the posterior stability of the chair is reduced, so proceed carefully.
Warning: Before raising the backrest, be sure that the user's hands or arms are not between the seat and the
reclined backrest, to avoid the risk of trapping them when raising the backrest.
Warning: The reclining back is only to be used in combination with the active anti-tips setting

5. Elevating legrest (Fig. 3) To elevate:Lift your lower leg and press the release button. Pull the legrest upwards and
adjust it to the desired height. As soon as you release the button, the legrest will click back into place. To lower: Lift your
lower leg and press the release button to unlock the legrest to lower it. As soon as you release the button, the legrest
will click back into place.
Warning: The elevating legrest is not allowed to be adjusted into the lowest position to avoid any interference
with the casters.
Warning: Keep hands clear of the adjustment mechanism between the frame and the movable parts of the
legrest while elevating or lowering the legrest.
D. ASSEMBLY
1. Footrests (Fig. 4): The footrests can be rotated inwards or outwards by pressing the release latch and turning the
footrest in the desired position. To remove the footrest, press the release latch, rotate the footrest approximately 90º
and lift.
2. Armrests (Fig. 5): The armrest can either be flipped back or can be detached from the chair. To flip arms back, press
the release latch and pull arm toward back of the wheelchair. To detach the armrest press the button located on the
back of the armrest and lift it. Warning: Make sure that the armrest is properly locked into place. Never lift the
wheelchair by the armrests as these parts are detachable and lifting the wheelchair by them may cause damage
to the chair and/or injury to the user. Warning: Be careful not to catch your fingers when lowering the arm-est.
3. Head-rest (Fig. 6): To install the head-rest, push the head-rest tubes into the tubes at the top of the back-rest until
the locking pins click into position in the holes. To remove it, press the locking pins and pull the head-rest up until it
comes off.
4. Reclining back-rest stabilising bar (Fig. 6): Installation: Insert the bar into the tubes on the back of the back-rest.
Press the locking pins and hold them down while inserting the stabilising bar, until the pins lock into place in the holes
in the bar. To remove the bar, reverse the process.
E. ADJUSTMENTS
1. Footrest heights (Fig. 7) To adjust the height of the footplates, loosen the retaining bolt in the frame tube, reposition
footplate and tighten bolt. For these adjustment use a 10 mm. wrench. A minimum interval of 2.5 centimetres from the
ground should always be maintained.
2. Wheel locks (Fig. 8) For a slight adjustment, loosen the nut of the screw on the clamp, using a 10 mm wrench. Slide
the whole wheel lock forwards or backwards, through the groove of the clamp. For a larger adjustment, remove the
screw and reset the wheel lock in the appropriate hole in the frame. Fix the new position with the screw and nut.
F. CONTROLS AND MAINTENANCE
MAINTENANCE: All fixings must be checked, adjusted and replaced when necessary throughout the useful lifetime of
the chair. In particular, check the front and rear wheels, brakes, hangers, armrests and upholstery regularly. In addition
to the maintenance and checks, general cleaning of both frame and upholstery can be undertaken. To maintain its
