Energy saving

Adjusting the heating
Adjust the flow temperature of the boiler according to the type of installation. In installations with radiators, we recommend
setting the maximum flow temperature of the heating water to around 60 °C and only increasing this temperature if the required
level of comfort is not reached. In installations with radiant floor panels, do not exceed the temperature stipulated by the
designer of the installation. We recommend using the external sensor and/or control panel to adjust the flow temperature
automatically according to the atmospheric conditions or the inside temperature. This will ensure that only the amount of heat
that is actually required will be produced. Adjust the ambient temperature without overheating the rooms. Every degree of
excess heat increases energy consumption by around 6%. You should also adjust the ambient temperature according to how
the rooms are used. Bedrooms or rooms that are not used frequently, for example, can be heated to a lower temperature than
the others. Use the hourly programming function (if available) and set the ambient temperature during the night to around 5 °C
lower than that during the day. Setting the temperature any lower will not result in further cost savings. Only lower the set
temperatures further if you will be away for an extended period, such as on holiday. Do not cover the radiators as this will
prevent air from circulating correctly. Do not leave the windows ajar to air the rooms – open them fully for a short period of time
instead.
