6.1 Unpacking
X Check the Vaporizer according to
Chapter 1.1. "Scope of Delivery",
page 39 for completeness.
6.2 Power Connection
X Check the Vaporizer and the Power
Adapter for externally visible dam-
age. Never operate a damaged
Vaporizer.
X In case of doubt, have the electrical
system checked by a specialist to
ensure compliance with local safe-
ty regulations.
6.3 Charging the Battery
The battery charge of the new product
has a level of up to 80%.
X Fully charge before using for the
first time.
X Connect the power adapter to the
charging socket of the Vaporizer
and then plug into a power socket.
When the power adapter is plugged
i
into the mains, the display lights up
for a moment and the Vaporizer
vibrates for a short time. This is a
functional check and indicates that
the charging operation has started.
The battery charging display lights
i
up and starts to flash, i.e. the bat-
tery is being charged.
Explanation of the battery charging
display:
The battery charging display shows
a battery symbol with six fields indi-
cating the charging status.
If the battery is almost discharged,
the battery frame starts to flash; if
fully charged, the frame and all six
fields are visible.
The number of status fields visible
depends on the extent of the bat-
tery charge.
As soon as the battery is fully
i
charged, the battery charging dis-
play stops flashing and indicates
the charge level (full = all six fields).
X Once the charging operation is
complete, first disconnect the
power adapter from the mains
socket and then unplug from the
Vaporizer.
The battery can also be charged via
i
the optional 12 Volt Car Charger.
X Connect the 12 Volt Car Charger
to the power socket of the Vapor-
izer and then plug into the cigarette
lighter or suitable 12 V socket.
