Electrical connection
!
The SBM V655 is only to be connected to the power
supply if the mains voltage available corresponds to
the rated voltage given on the rating plate.
1. Check whether the mains voltage corresponds to the
rated voltage given on the rating plate.
2. Provide fuse protection for the SBM V655 mains con-
nection in line with locally applicable standards. The
customer is responsible for providing fuse protection
for the mains connection.
3. Connect the power cord to the SBM V655.

Checking direction of rotation
1. Check whether the SBM V655 is properly connected
to the mains.
2. Switch on the SBM V655 at the on/off switch.
3. Close the wheel guard.
« The shaft rotates.
4. Check the direction of rotation of the shaft.

The correct direction of rotation is indicated by a yel-
low arrow on the SBM V655. The arrow is located on
the right next to the flange.

If the direction of rotation is incorrect, the SBM V655
comes to an immediate halt and the error message
is displayed (refer to Section 10 ).

Calibration of SBM V655
!
Calibration must be performed after initial commis-
sioning.
1. Flange calibration.
2. Vernier caliper and gauge arm calibration.
3. SBM V655 calibration.
4. Perform reference measurement.
