for a 6 V application and between 12 and 0 V for
a 12 V application.
• Check ignition coil and spark plugs.
To be avoided under any circumstances:
• Do not leave the ignition switch on „ON" for
some period, without the engine running. The
module and the ignition coil can overheat when
uninterrupted current is applied for more than a
couple of minutes.
• Do not perform welding on the bike without dis-
connecting the module wires from the ignition
coil. Disconnect module wires on the ignition
coil before starting welding operations.
• Never swap positions of the red and black wire
on the ignition coil.
• The bike's wiring harness must be in good con-
dition. Kinked wires, rust and oxide on the wire
connections must be removed.
• Do not connect a battery charger while the mo-
dule is connected. Quite a number of chargers
produce voltage peaks when being connected
and disconnected. This way, the module can be
damaged. Remove positive and negative cables
from battery before charging.
