3. During a session
a. Reformer
i. When the footbar is up, make sure the support is fully
against the inside of the frame.
ii. Straps and handles should be inside the frame or on the
eyelets (aka eyebolts or hooks) at all times.
iii. When working in 2nd or 3rd gear, the gear block must be
used to ensure proper tension with the springs.
iv. Make sure the headrest is fully seated and secured in
whatever position you use.
b. Cadillac / Mat
i. If you need to take the springs off during the session, store
them out of the walkways. Make sure client is safely out of
the way when changing springs.
ii. Make sure the clips/snaps are seated properly. Make sure
client is safely out of the way when checking clips or snaps.
iii. Double-check the clips on the PTB and that the safety
chains are connected properly.
iv. It is critical that you keep control of the PTB whenever
working with students. Always use extreme caution.
v. Set and check the QuickLinks and wire stops on the springs.
Make sure that they are fastened and seated correctly. Refer
to Figure C and D at the end of this document.
vi. Verify that all Cadillac springs with open hooks have wire
stops attached.
vii. Be mindful of the mat handles when walking around the
apparatus.
