3503 Wireless Gateway

The system gateway is the central bridge between any
3563 Analysis Vibration Sensor sensor and Accelix™ the cloud-based data platform.
The gateway collects measurement data from the sensors then transfers the data to
Accelix™. A single gateway communicates with up to 20 sensors. The gateway uses
a low energy wireless protocol to communicate with the sensor. Communication
between the gateway and Accelix™ is based on IoT technology (MQTT) and is
bidirectional. The measurement data collected by the sensor is processed in Accelix™.
Terminology
 Accelix™ Data Platform – This is the platform that hosts the data lake, the
cloud server, and data services.
 Low energy wireless protocol – This protocol is fast, covers a long range and
has low power consumption.
 IoT – Internet of Things: These are devices connected together over the
Internet. The connectivity allows the sharing of data between the devices.
 MQTT – Message Queuing Telemetry Transport: This is the messaging
protocol used in this system.
MQTT is a lightweight protocol using a messaging technique with low
network and power usage.
Similar to other internet protocols, MQTT is based on clients and servers. The
