Use the following procedure to adjust the
cutting width:
1.
Loosen the four wing screws (5).
2.
Adjust the parallel guide fence (C).
3.
Tighten the four wing screws (5).
The cutting width is adjusted.
✓
In addition, the parallel guide can also be used as a double support for a better guidance
of the hand-held circular saw. Simply turn it over (the guide surface for the workpiece
edge points upwards).
Alternatively, you can guide the machine along a batten that is fixed to the workpiece.
5.11 Working with the roller edge guide
The roller edge guide (E) is used for sawing in parallel to an existing edge. The guide fence can be mounted on
the right or left side of the machine. The cutting range is 12 to 48 mm [0.5 to 1.9 in] on the right side and 40 -
280 mm [1.6 to 11 in] on the left side.
The selected width is shown at the scales on the guide bars. The edges with the red markings on the base
plates are used as pointers.

Warning
Risk of injury from malfunctioning guard
There is a risk that the roller edge guide interferes with the operation of
the lower guard if it is used below the minimum dimensions. It is possible
that the saw blade is then freely accessible.
➢
Use the roller edge guide only in the permissible cutting ranges. To
ensure this, take note of the scales on the guide bars.
