Locking ring
Figure
17a shows the valve in the open position with
air flowing through it. The flow presses the piston
downwards and air can pass to the output nipple as
indicated by small arrows. In the closed position,
ure
17b, the spring presses the piston upwards caus-
ing its o-ring to seal against the seat. Discharge of sig-
nal air takes place from the output nipple to the atmo-
sphere via the discharge port (not visible in the fig-
ure). A 2 mm bypass hole in the piston accepts a small
leakage flow without opening the valve.
The normal connection is shown in
tions, other than to TAV 50, are made in a similar way.
Make sure hose clips are tightened correctly.
Do not open the flow sensing valve without
first shutting off the compressed air and dis-
charging any remaining pressure.
The valve needs no preventive maintenance if the
compressed air supply is clean. Dirt can cause the
valve not to close. It must then be dismantled for
cleaning. To do this, use a special pair of pliers suitable
for the locking ring under the lid. Before reassembling
check that the o-ring lies correctly on the lid. Air leak-
age downstream the valve could be another reason
for the valve not closing.
Deaeration must be done in the airflow dir-
ection (see arrow on the valve, see also
ure
17).
1
AS-set with micro switch and connection box
for the pilot signal. The switch controls the va-
cuum plant to make it stop when all valves are
closed and make it start again as soon as a valve is
opened. A pilot signal cable and a suitable motor
starter are required to execute this function. Fit-
ting of the AS-set is shown in
shown schematically in
2
Current sensing relay for handheld electric tools.
For 230 V AC. Maximum 10 A. See figure A
Models. In a plastic box with connection terminals.
3
Transformer, 230/24 V AC, 60 VA in a plastic en-
closure. Can feed 12 solenoid valves. Suitable for
TAV 50 MV-W.
4 3-port valve for remote control of TAV 50 PC
(without a control device of its own). See

All electrically connected accessories must be in-
stalled according to applicable regulations for EX
products. This means that TAV accessories installed
inside of a classified area (i.e. zone 22) must be con-
nected to an intrinsic safe circuit. Pneumatic accessor-
ies without any source of ignition are not included in
this requirement. Please contact Technical Support,
AB Ph. Nederman & Co., for detailed information re-
garding the installation of TAV accessories in classi-
fied areas.
Use only Nederman original spare parts and ac-
cessories.
Contact your nearest authorized distributor or
Nederman for advice on technical service or
if you require help with spare parts. See also
www.nederman.com.
When ordering spare parts always state the following:
• The part number and control number (see the
product identification plate).
• Detail number and name of the spare part (see
www.nederman.com/en/service/spare-part-
search).
• Quantity of the parts required.
The product has been designed for component mater-
ials to be recycled. Different material types must be
handled according to relevant local regulations. Con-
tact the distributor or Nederman if uncertainties arise
when scrapping the product at the end of its service
life.
