5. Secure the burner pin cover on the burner, making sure the burner hole is aimed at the orifice.

C AUTION
Keep outdoor cooking gas appliance area clear and free from combustible materials, gasoline, and other flammable
»
vapors and liquids.
Do not obstruct the flow of combustible and ventilation air.
»
Keep the ventilation openings of the cylinder enclosure free and clear from debris.
»
Checking for Spiders and Insects
Periodically check and clean the burner and venturi tubes for insects and insect nests. A clogged tube can lead to a fire beneath
the grill and is the most common cause of flashbacks.
To reduce the chance of a flashback, clean the burner tubes:
Before assembling your grill
»
At least once a month in late summer and early fall (when spiders are most active)
»
If your grill has not been used for an extended period of time
»
Inspect the burners at least once a year or immediately after any of the following occurs:
The smell of gas and the burner flames appearing yellow.
»
The grill does not reach temperature.
»
The grill heats unevenly.
»
The burners make popping noises.
»
Storing the Grill
The gas must be turned off at the supply cylinder when the unit is not in use.
»
Place a dust cap on the cylinder valve outlet when the cylinder is not in use. Only install the type of dust cap on the cylinder
»
valve outlet that is provided with the cylinder valve. Other types of caps or plugs may result in leakage of propane.
If the appliance is stored indoors, the LP gas tank must be disconnected and removed from the grill. LP gas tanks must be
»
stored outdoors in a well-ventilated area out of the reach of children.
C AUTION
If burners go out during operation, close the gas supply at the source, and turn all gas valves off. Open the lid and wait
»
five minutes before attempting to relight (this allows accumulated gas fumes to clear).
Should a grease fire occur, close the gas supply at the source, turn off all burners, and leave the lid closed until fire is out.
»
DO NOT attempt to disconnect any gas fitting while your grill is in operation. As with all appliances, proper care and
»
maintenance will keep them in top operating condition and prolong their life. Your gas gill is no exception.
Do not close the side burner lid when the product is in use. The side burner lid will get hot if used when the lid is closed.
