Connect trailer connection unit
10. Plug the trailer connection unit (Fig. 1/11) into the bottom, front of the equipment rack
(Fig. 1/9).
11. Locate the 16-way socket housing of the 10-core cable set in the socket provided on the
trailer connection unit.
12. Locate the 12-way socket housing of the 13-core cable set in the socket provided on the
trailer connection unit.
13. The "charge line" and "ground for charge line" functions can be retrofitted via the 3-pin plug
for the permanent positive pre-installation.
14. Slide a foam cut-out over the 3-pin plug housing of the 10-core cable set and connect with the
3-pin mating connector of the 13-core cable set. Slide the foam cut-out over both plugs.
For vehicles with battery at the rear carry out the following steps:
15. Connect the 2-pin plug of the supplied short, 2-core cable set with the mating connector of the
13-core cable set (use the foam cut-outs).
16. Assemble the enclosed fuse holder as follows:

17. Insert the flat adapter plugs of both red wires (Fig. 2/5) and the red/blue wire (Fig. 2/4) in the
1st fuse holder.
18. Insert the flat plug adapter of the red single cable (Fig. 2/5) and the red/black wire (Fig. 2/4) in
the 2nd fuse holder.
19. In each case insert the yellow clip (Fig. 2/6).
20. In each case insert fuse (Fig. 2/2) and put on cover (Fig. 2/1).
21. Fit the fuse holder mounting plate provided (Fig. 1/10) in a suitable position on the equipment
rack, if necessary by drilling 2 holes, and attach fuse holder.
Note
Ensure there is no strain and fuse holder is securely fitted.
