4. INSTALLATION
DANGER
Dangerous electrical voltage.
Risk of death by electric shock.
Disconnect the power supply and switch off the pump be-
fore working on it.
• Installation exclusively by professionals.
• Never carry the pump by the cable, to put it in or take it out of
the water.
• If the pump shall be inserted into a pit or a duct, its dimensions
must allow the float switch to move freely.
• Install the pump in the sump (or tank) and ensure that it is stable.
4.1 FITTING THE NON RETURN VALVE
The enclosed non return valve must be installed in order to prevent
liquid from flowing back from the hose/piping after switching off
the pump:
Place it:
- before the 90° elbow for pump sold alone,
Sanisub (S) ZPK
- after the 90° elbow for
ifos.
• Hold the valve by the disc.
• Place the valve, with the disc towards the hydraulic.
4.2 HYDRAULIC CONNECTION
• Connect the discharge pipe.
• When using the system in a lifting station tank (e.g.
fer also to the installation instructions for the tank.
4.3 ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
DANGER
Electrical connection work performed by an unqualified in-
dividual.
Risk of death by electric shock!
The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified
and licensed electrician.
The electrical installation must meet the current standards
in the country.
Only carry out the electrical connections after the final hydraulic
connections have been completed.
5. COMMISSIONING
DANGER
Damaged pump.
Risk of death by electric shock.
Before commissioning, check the pump for external dam-
age.
CAUTION
Moving parts.
Risk of pinching, cutting fingers or other body parts.
The protection against accidental contact of moving parts
(e.g. coupling) must not be removed during operation of the
machine.
Keep away from moving parts.
• Carry out a test run.
• Check the freedom of movement of the float.
• Avoid dry running without pumped fluid.
NOTICE
Place the pump in an initial water level of at least 120 mm
30
(Sanisub (S) ZPK
), or 200 mm (Sanisub (S) ZPK 40) to al-
low priming.
