2.16 Magnetic Forces
2.16.1 Effects on Implants From Magnetic Forces
The device's motor emits strong magnetic forces during operation.
Magnetic forces can affect implants and other magnetic devices. People
with implants can be lethally or seriously injured by these forces; magnetic
or magnetized devices can also be damaged by these forces.
Ensure that active implant carriers e.g. those with pacemakers, cochlear

implants, insulin pumps, maintain a safe distance of 0.5 m from the
device.
Ensure that passive implant carriers maintain a safe distance of 0.1 m

from the device.
Magnetic or magnetized objects should not be stored or used near the

2.16.2 Danger of Crushing Due to Magnetic Forces
