5.4 Removing the Transport Lock
The device is protected with a transport lock on delivery. The transport lock
consists of 2 transport lock screws. The transport lock screws must be
removed in order to operate the device.
Personnel: 2 persons, user
Procedure
Hold the device firmly by the handle and push it down in a controlled

manner.
Push the device down until the handle is resting on the floor.

Have a second person hold the device firmly by the handle, so the device
t
remains in this position during installation
Unscrew the transport lock screws (1) and (2). The transport lock screws
t
are marked in red.
Put the transport lock screws aside should the device ever need to be
t
transported again later.
Screw the 2 supplied screws into the device as a replacement for the
t
removed transport lock screws.
While holding the device by the handle, tip it downwards once again in a
t

controlled manner so that it stands on the castors.
CAUTION Risk of injury due to uncontrolled rolling away of the
t
device! Place it on a level surface and secure the brakes. Wear personal
protective equipment.
