Cleaning the water intake
screen

► Unscrew the connector (1) of the water con‐
nection.
► Remove water intake screen (2) from the con‐
nector.
► Rinse out the water intake screen (2) under
running water.
► Insert water intake screen (2) into the connec‐
tor.
► Attach the connector (1) and tighten it by
hand.

Correcting faults in the pressure washer
Fault
The pressure washer
does not start alt‐
hough the spray gun
trigger is squeezed.

Cause
The mains plug of the connecting
cable or extension cord is not plugged
in.
The circuit-breaker (fuse) or the resi‐
dual current circuit breaker has trip‐
ped. There is an electrical overload or
a fault in the circuit.
The fuse rating of the socket is too
low.
The extension cord has an incorrect
cross-section.
► Remove the seal (1) from the filter housing (3).
► Take the filter (2) out of the filter housing (3).
► Rinse out the seal (1) and the filter (2) under
running water.
► Grease the gasket (1) with a fitting grease.
► Reassemble the water filter.

Maintenance intervals
Maintenance intervals depend on the ambient
conditions and the operating conditions. STIHL
recommends the following maintenance inter‐
vals:

► Clean water intake screen.
16 Repairing
16.1
Repairing the pressure washer
The user cannot personally repair the pressure
washer and accessory.
► If the pressure washer or accessory is dam‐
aged: Do not use the pressure washer or
accessory. Consult a STIHL servicing dealer.
Remedy
► Plug in mains plug of connecting
cord or extension cord.
► Look for cause of tripping and
remedy it. Engage circuit-breaker
(fuse) or the residual current circuit
breaker.
► Switch off other loads connected to
the same circuit.
► Plug the connecting cable into a
socket with the correct fuse rating,
