DESCALING CYCLE
Limescale normally builds up with extended
use of the appliance; the machine needs des-
caling every 2 months and/or whenever a re-
duction in water flow is noticed.
The descaling cycle will be requested by the
machine through the switching-on of the or-
ange warning lamp available .
Do not switch the machine off when the
descaling cycle is under way.
Do not move away from the machine when
the descaling cycle is under way.
The cycle will have, once it has been
started, to be performed completely.
The milk frothing jug shall not been inserted
during the descaling cycle.
Keep, with the machine set to the STAND-
BY mode, the ESPRESSO LUNGO
FREE DOSE
supplying buttons simulta-
neously depressed over at least 3 seconds
3 sec.
DESCALING
The machine will emit a long acoustic signal
the ON/STAND-BY
buttons and the descaling warning light
will come on to a steady light.
Proceed as described below:
• Remove and empty the water tank;
• Remove the filter (if any);
• Lift and lower the capsule loading lever to
verify that no capsules are found inside;
and
• Remove, empty and fit the drawer back into
place.
