5 Application
5.1 Screwing in screws

Insert the desired screwdriver blade into the

round or star-shaped opening of the angled
screwdriver head and check for tight fit.
It must not be possible to remove the blade
with the fingers again.
If required, press the blade against a solid
•
object until it snaps into place.
Pick a screw (1) from the clip magazine.
•
Place the screw on the blade.
•
All KLS Martin screws are self- retaining
(press fit). The more pressure you apply,
the stronger is the hold on the bit.
You can use the screw holder (2) to hold the
•
screw in place, or as a support when
positioning an osteosynthesis plate.
Slide the screw holder mechanism (3) all the
•
way forward to its working position under
the head of the screwdriver, making sure
that the fork properly engages with the
thread of the screw to press the screw head
(and the plate if applicable) up against the
bit.
