1.10 Close the cover
NOTE: Before proceeding with the installation of the Harken BRS104 button,
make sure that the rear silicone indexing tab is inserted into its seat.
2. Actions on drilling template
2.1 Identify the deck area where the button is to be installed, by checking that drilling
does not compromise the deck's resistance.
2.2 Place the mounting template in the desired position on the deck.
2.3 Once you are satisfied with the template's position and orientation, mark the centre
of the holes with a suitable marker.
NOTE: In teak decks, it is advisable not to install the button between two
wooden lists, but to keep the holes on the same list.
2.4 Remove the template from the deck.
2.5 With a suitable tool, drill the holes as indicated on the template supplied, being careful
not to damage the upper edge of the deck.
3. Preparing the installation surface
Prior to positioning the switch, prepare the installation surface as follows:
3.1 Remove any drilling residues
3.2 Clean and degrease the installation surface thoroughly, with isopropyl alcohol. Before
proceeding, wait until the surface is completely dry (about 2-3 min).
