USE OF THE DEVICE
The device is used to electrically control the utilities connected to it, by activating the
button.
NOTE: For connection to any utility, connect a fuse; for Harken Electric Winches,
install a 5A fuse as prescribed by the instructions in the Harken Winch User
Manuals.
Hand operation
To operate the device manually, keep the tilting cover in the closed position with respect
to the base: to make sure that the button is closed, apply a slight pressure with one hand
on the visible cover surface.
Foot operation
To operate the device by foot, rotate the tilting cover to fully uncover the silicone
membrane below.
Make sure that the cover touches the deck, once opened.
WARNING!
To avoid accidents, carefully read, understand and observe all the Warnings
and General Instructions in the Harken Catalogue and on the website www.
harken.com.
Before each use:
– check the correct operation of the device
– check the integrity of the switch control buttons.
Before using any function:
– do not accidentally step on the switch so as not to unintentionally operate the
utility connected to it
– make sure you have good visibility of the system and are aware of its
movement limits
– make sure that all persons and objects are away from moving parts.
Failure to comply with these warnings could cause accidents, resulting in
damage to your boat, personal injury or death.
