4. Fixing on the deck
WARNING! Before installing the device on the deck, gather suitable screws for
each device type.
Installation screws material: stainless steel A4 DIN 7982 or ISO 7050.
Screws of other materials may not have sufficient resistance to loads and
corrosive agents.
The length of the screws depends on the thickness of the deck: choose fixing
screws of the appropriate length.
Harken BRS102: 3 x Ø4mm flat countersunk self-tapping screws (do not use
cap screws)
Harken BRS104: 4 x Ø3mm self-tapping screws
4.1 Apply the sealant to the holes made on the deck.
WARNING! Do not apply the sealant in the areas between the silicone covering
the button's electric actuator.
Apply sealant only in areas where the deck is drilled.
4.2 Lift the tilting cover so that the installation manoeuvres are easy.
4.3 Secure the device on the deck by tightening the screws in the concentric positions of
the holes previously made.
Make sure to keep the screw in a vertical position throughout the tightening.
4.4 Make sure that the screws are screwed completely: after screwing each screw, apply
a tightening torque all the way.
