3.3 FOLDING FRAME (GIGANTE)
The machine frame is designed so that the side ends that hold
the planting elements can be folded using a hydraulic system,
thus reducing the road.
When opening and closing of the folding frame, do not under
any circumstances stand close to the machine.
3.3.1 OPENING THE FRAME (OPERATING POSITION)
With the machine raised:
- Remove the safety pin (1, Fig. 12)
- Remove the safety device of the side toolbars (2, Fig. 13), and
place it along the side toolbar as shown in Figure 15;
- After releasing the side toolbars, reverse the flow of the hydraulic
system to bring the toolbars into their working position. For
system adjustment, consult chapter 3.3.3 ADJUSTING THE
HYDRAULIC SYSTEM FOR OPENING THE TOOLBARS;
- Block in place using the pins (3, Fig. 14)
3.3.2 CLOSING THE FRAME (TRANSPORT POSITION)
With the machine raised:
- Unhook the bolts (3) and put them in their seat (4) as shown in
Figure 14;
- Activate the oil-pressure system, bringing the side frames into
their transport position;
- Lock the side toolbars with the locking bar (2, Fig. 13) locking it
with the safety devices provided (spring pins and split pins).
