1.4 After unpacking
•
Check if the delivered devices corresponds to the order.
Check the device for transport damage and completeness.
•
•
Report any defects/damage to the supplier immediately.
1.5 Place of installation
In rooms without weather exposure.
•
•
Avoid direct sunlight exposure.
Avoid dust.
•
Keep away from strong electromagnetic fields.
•
Keep away from combustible material.
•
Provide sufficient cooling. Install fans when installing the frequency in-
•
verter inside an enclosed cabinet.
Altitude of installation: ≤ 4000 m, above 1000 m with reduced power
•
(reduced output current).
Ingress protection rating of frequency inverter: IP20. Use of the device in
•
explosive atmospheres is not permitted.
•
The frequency inverter produces noise. For this reason it should be in-
stalled in areas where usually people do not stay for a long time.
•
Noise emission in operation is < 85 dB(A) in the case of sizes 1 through 7.
Noise emission in operation is approx. 86 dB(A) in the case of size 8. Use
•
ear protectors when staying near the frequency inverter.
1.6 Operating conditions
− Size 1...7:
Ambient temperature: 0...55°C, as from 40°C, power reduction of
o
2.5% / K should be considered.
− Size 8
Ambient temperature: -10...55°C, as from 45°C, power reduction
o
of 2.5% / K should be considered.
− Ambient pressure: 70 ... 106 kPa
− The frequency inverter may be operated in TN, TT and IT grid types.
Operation in a corner-grounded TN grid shall not be permissible.
− Environment specification: Pollution degree 2 and overvoltage category III
(IEC 60664-1) up to 2000 m installation altitude. Above 2000 m installation
altitude overvoltage category II.
− The frequency inverter may connect to power supply every 60 s. If the unit
switches on more frequently, it may be damaged. You must consider this
when operating a mains contactor in jog operation mode.
