3.3.7 TRIAL SOWING
For precise sowing, we recommend performing a trial sowing
with the machine stationary to check the desired quantity to be
sown by proceeding.
IMPORTANT
Remember that when sowing large seed (peas, soy beans,
etc.), it is advisable to disconnect the seed agitator shaft from
the transmission (Fig. 16) to avoid damage to the seed itself.
During the sowing test, pay attention to the points at which
there are parts in movement: seed agitator shaft, dosing
rollers, etc..
Perform the preliminary adjustments given in the adjustments
table ADJUSTMENT TABLE OF THE SEEDER (Cod. 19703570),
according to seed type, and in the following order:
- Gear lever position according to the quantity to be distributed
(Fig. 11);
- Selection of distributor rollers (Fig. 14);
- Botton gate position (Fig. 12).
IMPORTANT
Remember that when sowing large seed (peas, soy beans,
etc.), it is advisable to disconnect the seed agitator shaft from
the transmission (Fig. 16) to avoid damage to the seed itself.
Once the machine has been set, proceed as follows:
1) Extract the lock pin (A Fig. 17) and, using the handle, move
the seed collectors support in the direction of the arrow.
2) Release the seed-test trays (Fig. 18) and position them
beneath the seed discharge.
3) Fill the seed hopper to mid-load.
4) Insert the crank (Fig. 15) on the gearbox shaft and rotate
clockwise.
5) Before starting the test, turn the handle a few times to load
the distributors with seed, then empty the seed collecting
trays.
6) Turn the crank the number of turns given in the tables being
used.
7) Weigh the seed collected in the trays and multiply the weight
by 100 or 40, depending on the number of rotations made.
The value obtained is the number of kilograms distributed
per hectare (Fig. 20).
