Electric Wheelchair
Headlight
Use this button (Fig. 18) to switch on the active lighting of your wheel-
chair at dusk or when going through dim areas such as, for example,
tunnels. You are then more visible to other road users.
Hazard lights
Use this button (Fig. 19) to switch the hazard lights on in emergency
18
situations when the wheelchair is not fit to drive. All four hazard lights
will then flash and indicate to other road users that your wheelchair is
not fit to drive. When switching the control unit off, the hazard lights
will remain on and can only be switched off when the control unit is
re-activated.
Indicators (left/right)
Use this button to switch on the left or right indicator of your wheel-
chair (Fig. 20), to indicate to other road users that you would like to
19
change your direction to the left/right. By pressing this button again,
you will switch the indicators back off.
Battery status display
You can check the battery's charge level on the battery status display
(Fig. 21). If the display is in the green area, then sufficient charge is
available. If the display is in the red area, then only short journeys are
possible and the battery should be recharged (see Charging batteries
20
Chapter 7.3.1).
If the battery display is constantly lit, then the power wheelchair is fully
functional. If there is a fault, this is shown by rapid flashing. First check
the battery charge level and whether the drives are engaged. If the
battery charger continues to flash, contact your dealer.

Use this button (Fig. 22) to switch your wheelchair into drive mode.
Speed level display
The speed level display (Fig. 23) shows the pre-set speed level. The pos-

in level one, the lowest.
Adjusting the speed level
Use these buttons (Fig. 24) to increase (left) or decrease (right) the
speed level, i.e. the maximum achievable speed. Speed regulation is
through operation of the joystick.
Horn
The horn (Fig. 25) enables you to draw attention to yourself in difficult
situations.
Immobiliser
In order to protect your wheelchair against unauthorised use or theft,
park the wheelchair in an enclosed space or activate the immobiliser.
