The charging socket is located on the side below the ignition lock (Fig.
35 / 36).
When charging is complete, disconnect the mains plug and then dis-
connect the scooter from the charger.
When not in use, the battery should be charged once a month to avoid
deep discharge.

A deep discharge considerably shortens the life of the battery and can
also damage it.
Batteries should be stored upright, dry and frost-free.
As soon as the range decreases noticeably with fully charged batteries,
you should replace them.
Only use an approved charger to charge the batteries
(see technical data). Please also follow the operating
instructions for the charger!

7.3.2. Replacing the batteries
When working on the batteries be extremely careful, avoid using metal
tools, touching the battery terminals and follow the manufacturer's
instructions.
Only use batteries which are approved for this wheelchair (see techni-
cal data).

Make sure that the wheelchair is switched off, before you start to re-
place the batteries.
Undo the cover of the battery compartment (Fig. 46).
First undo the anchor fixing and pull the battery slides out (Fig.
47).
Undo the battery cable. First the red, then the black.
Lift the batteries out carefully.
Lift the new batteries into the designated space and connect the

contacts. Note the correct colour coding (red and black).

Secure the batteries with the belt strap and push the battery com-
partment back into its initial position, it will click back into place
automatically. Then screw the battery cover back on.
If the service life of the batteries has expired, i.e. they
can no longer be charged sufficiently, you must not
dispose of the batteries with household waste. When
you buy new batteries, old batteries will be taken
back by the dealer and disposed of properly!
8. Maintenance information for spe-
cialised retailers
A maintenance plan can be made available to you by our Customer
Service.
You must check your wheelchair regularly in
accordance with the maintenance plan and make
sure that it is in perfect working order.
9. Maintenance instructions
Typical wear parts are brakes and tyres. Contact your dealer for spare
parts.
Check your wheelchair regularly in accordance with
the maintenance plan.
We recommend that you have your scooter inspected by your dealer at
least once a year.
If there are faults or defects, take the wheelchair to your dealer im-
mediately for repair.
