Definition
The person described as "the user" in this Instruction for Use is the person who is lifted in the product.
"The carer" is the person who manoeuvres the product.
Intended purpose
To be used for lifting and adjusting the horizontal position of users, who require support to be transferred
in lying position between two beds or similar
Intended target group
For users who are in need of support to be lifted and transferred in lying position within a rail system; e.g.
persons with limited ability to move and who require body support during transfers. Not an exhaustive
list.
Intended environment
For indoor use within a rail system in acute care, long term care, home care.
Indications
The device can be used for children, adults and elderly people with a need for support to be lifted and
transferred between two lying surfaces within a rail system.
The target group for the device is based on individual health and mobility function, and not a specific
diagnose or age.
Contraindications
There are no known contra indications regarding the hoist, but make sure the sling fits the user.
Declaration of conformity
The product, and its related accessories, described in this instruction for use (IFU), is in
compliance with the regulation (EU) 2017/745 of 5. April 2017 – as a medical device,
risk class I.
The product is manufactured and tested according to EN/ISO 10535.
Any serious incident that occurs in relation to the device should be reported to the
manufacturer and the competent authority of the Member State in which the user and/
or patient is established.

In case of an adverse event
In case of an adverse event occurred during use of the device, this should be reported to
Your distributor and the national competent authority in a timely manner. The distributor will
forward information to Etac (manufacturer).
