5. Working area
5.1 Chain saw
1.
Bystanders, children and animals are not aware of the dangers of the chain saw and objects being
thrown into the air and cannot assess them. Keep them away from the work area.
2.
The chain saw is not waterproof. If you work in the rain or in a damp environment, an electric shock
may occur. The user may be injured and the chain saw may be damaged: do not work in the rain or in
a damp environment.
3.
The electric engine of the chain saw can produce sparks that can cause fires and explosions in a flam-
mable or explosive environment. This can result in serious injuries or death and damage to property: do
not work in a flammable environment or in an explosive environment.
5.2 Chain saw safety conditions
Please, check those points for chain saw safe condition:
1.
The saw is not damaged.
2.
The saw is clean and dry.
3.
The chain catcher is not damaged.
4.
Chain trigger is operating properly.
5.
The controls work properly and have not been modified.
6.
Chain lubrication is operating properly.
7.
Wear marks on chain sprocket are not deeper than 0.5mm.
8.
The guide bar and chain are properly mounted.
9.
The chain is properly tensioned.
10. Only original Bellota accessories designed for this saw are fitted.
11. Accessories are properly mounted.
12. The oil tank is closed.
Warning! If the product does not comply with safety requirements, components will no longer
work properly or safety devices may become unoperative.
1.
Work only with an undamaged chain saw. If the saw is dirty or wet, clean the saw and allow it to dry.
2.
Work only with an undamaged chain catcher. Never modify your chain saw. Exception: Mounting a
combination of guide bar and saw chain as recommended in this instruction manual.
3.
If the controls do not work properly: Do not use your saw.
4.
Only fit original STIHL accessories designed for this saw model.
