Note:
Fit the guide bar with Chain tensioning screw (3) and chain on the saw and check the following
points:
•
The cutte follow the arrow which point in the direction of rotation as the mark.
•
Chain drive links are seated in teeth of chain sprocket.
•
Head of cutter locates in slot in guide bar (7).

Rotate the adjusting screw (3) clockwise until the chain fits snugly against the bar. Make sure the drive
link tangs engage the bar groove. The guide bar and chain are positioned against the saw.
8.
Align the oil inlet (8) and oil port (9).
9.
Fit the Drive cover so that it is flush with the saw.
10. If the Drive cover is not flush with the saw: Turn the button and refit the Drive cover.
10.2 Removing the bar and chain
1.
Rotate the guide bar nut (1) removed.
2.
Remove the drive cover.
3.
Turn the Guid bar screw (3). The chain is now slack.
4.
Removing the bar and chain until the drive cover can be counterclockwise as far as stop.
10.3 Tensioning the saw chain
The saw chain expands or contracts during cutting work. Chain tension changes as a result. Check chain
tension regularly during operation and readjust if necessary.

Switch off the chain saw, disconnect the power source.
2.
Rotate the Guid bar nuts (1) turn counterclockwise.The fixed nut and button is loose.
3.
Rotate the Chain tensioning screw (3) clockwise until:
•
The chain fits snugly against the underside of the bar.
•
The chain can still be pulled easily along the bar with two fingers.
4.
If a Carving guide bar is used: Rotate the Guid bar screw clockwise until the drive links on the underside
of the bar are just half visible.
5.
If the chain can no longer be pulled along the bar by hand: Rotate the Chain tensioning screw counter-
clockwise until the chain can be pulled easily along the bar with two fingers.
6.
Rotate the Guid bar nuts clockwise until the Drive cover is firmly seated.
