10. Assembling the saw
For all these operations you must disconnect the power tool.
10.1 Mounting the bar and chain
The bar and chain combinations that can be used with the chain sprocket are listed in the specifications.
1.
Switch off the chain saw, remove the battery.
2.
Rotate the guide bar nuts (1) counterclockwise, until the drive cover (2) can be removed.
3.
Remove the drive cover (2).
4.
Chain tensioning screw (3). Place the guide bar (7)on the mainbody (4), so that the pegs (5) on the
mainbody (4) engage the hole (6) in the guide bar (7).
Note:
The guide bar (7) may be either way round. The logo on the guide bar may also be upside down.
5.
Fit the chain in the bar groove so that the arrows on the tie straps on top of the bar point in the direction
of rotation.
6.
Turn the Chain tensioning screw (3) as far as stop.
