Closing the shade
Please note!
– The shade must be closed in the event
of incoming wind, rain or snow. Dama-
ges occurring as a result of a failure to
do so are not covered by the warranty.
– When closing the sun shade, the co-
ver could get caught between the bra-
ces. If this happens, please carefully
pull parts of the cover caught between
the braces out.
1. Turn the crank 7 anticlockwise un-
til the sun shade is completely closed
(see figure H).
2. If the cover is caught between the bra-
ces, carefully pull the cover between
the braces out (see figure I).
3. To protect against wind gusts, secure
the cover with a tie strap.
To protect against dirt and fading, pull
a protective sleeve over the sun sha-
de (not included in package contents).
Taking down the shade
Please note!
– If the sun shade is going to be left un-
used for a long time – over winter or
during a trip – you should disassem-
ble it and store it in a safe place (see
"Storing the shade").
1. Turn the crank 7 anticlockwise un-
til the sun shade is completely closed
(see figure H).
2. If applicable, release the sun shade in
the sun shade base and pull the sun
shade out of the sun shade base.
3. Push the locking button 1 and pull the
shade pole 2 out of the bottom pole 3
(see figure J).

Cleaning the cover
Please note!
– The fabric is suitable for hand wa-
shing at 40 °C. The cover is not suita-
ble for machine washing!
– Do not use a clothes dryer.
– Do not iron.
– Do not use aggressive chemical
cleaning agents or fluids, solvents,
abrasive substances or objects,
bleaching agents, high-pressure clea-
ners or strong cleaning products.
– Observe the dosing, application and
reaction instructions of the manufac-
turer.
1. If applicable, release the fixture se-
curing the sun shade in the sun sha-
de base, pull the sun shade out of the
sun shade base and lay it flat on the
ground.
2. Unscrew the shade tip 8 anticlockwi-
se (see figure K).
3. Pull the cover pockets 9 off of the bra-
ce ends 10 and remove the cover (see
figure K).
4. Clean the cover directly with commer-
cially-available mild detergent in luke-
warm water.
5. Pull the wet cover over the frame and
slip the cover pockets 9 over the bra-
ce ends 10.
6. Place the shade tip 9 on the thread 11
and tighten it by turning it clockwise.
Put the sun shade back in the sun
shade base. If necessary, secure it,
open it and let it dry completely while
deployed (see figure L).
