Never touch engine components during
or immediately after use. They may be
very hot. Keep hands and feet well clear of
moving and rotating parts.
Always follow the engine maintenance
instructions under "Maintenance".
Remove the cap from the spark plug before
adjusting, cleaning or maintaining the
sweeping machine.
Always switch the engine off when leaving
the sweeping machine unattended.
Safety rules for the sweeping machine
The sweeping machine is intended
for sweeping pavements and other
agstoned or paved paths, squares and
roads. It must not be used in areas with a
loose surface consisting of pebbles, gravel,
rock, soil, etc.
The sweeping machine may only be
used by persons who are over 16 years
of age and who have received thorough
instruction in how to use the machine and
are familiar with the risks associated with
using it.
Use gloves, hearing protection and goggles
when using the sweeping machine. If a lot
of dust is created as you work, you should
also wear a suitable face mask!
Always keep bystanders and animals at a
safe distance from the sweeping machine
when it is in use.
Keep your hands and feet at a safe distance
from the rotating brush! Always walk
behind the sweeping machine!
Do not sweep too close to buildings, cars
and the like. If the sweeping machine hits
an obstacle, it may be knocked off course
and run into things close by before you can
react! Therefore do not sweep too close
to edges or in places with signi cant level
diff erences.
Always adjust the angle of the brush so
that gravel, stones and other objects in the
work area cannot be thrown up at people,
animals or cars and windows, for instance.
The rotating brush can throw objects with
such force that they may cause injury or
damage to anything they hit!
The sweeping machine must not be used in
the rain, and it must not be used to sweep
away water or liquids.
Wear appropriate clothing and non-slip
shoes if you use the sweeping machine
to clear snow. Be aware that there may be
things under the snow that you cannot see!
If the sweeping machine hits something
and there then appear to be abnormal
vibrations, you must immediately switch
the engine off and investigate where the
vibrations are coming from.
Deal with the problem before continuing
to use the sweeping machine. Always
stop the sweeping machine, switch off the
engine and remove the cap from the spark
plug before examining the brush or other
moving parts of the machine.
